RSPH14

Description

The RSPH14 (radial spoke head 14 homolog) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 22.

RSPH14, the gene encoding Radial spoke head 14 homolog, is involved in human biology. While its exact function remains unclear, it shares similarities with a yeast vacuolar protein. This gene is situated in a region deleted in certain pediatric tumors, but mutations in RSPH14 haven't been directly linked to these cancers.

Plays a crucial role in the movement of sperm and cilia by functioning within the axonemal radial spoke complexes.

RSPH14 is also known as RTDR1.
