RRN3

Description

The RRN3 (RRN3 homolog, RNA polymerase I transcription factor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

RRN3, encoded by the RRN3 gene, is an enzyme that functions as a transcription initiation factor specific to RNA polymerase I. It plays a critical role in the initiation of transcription by RNA polymerase I.

RRN3 is essential for efficient transcription initiation by RNA polymerase I (Pol I). It plays a crucial role in the formation of the competent pre-initiation complex (PIC).

RRN3 is also known as A-270G1.2, TIFIA.
