RPP38

Description

The RPP38 (ribonuclease P/MRP subunit p38) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

RPP38 gene encodes Ribonuclease P protein subunit p38, an enzyme involved in the processing of tRNA molecules. RPP38 has been shown to interact with POP4.

RPP38 is involved in the generation of mature tRNA molecules by cleaving their 5'-ends as a component of ribonuclease P (RNase P), a ribonucleoprotein complex. RPP38 is also a component of the MRP ribonuclease complex, which cleaves pre-rRNA sequences.

RPP38 is also known as -.
