ROMO1
Description
The ROMO1 (reactive oxygen species modulator 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.
ROMO1 promotes the creation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), which are essential for cell growth. It might also contribute to oxidative DNA damage and replicative senescence. Additionally, ROMO1 may play a role in regulating mitochondrial shape and cell proliferation.
ROMO1 is also known as C20orf52, MTGM, MTGMP, bA353C18.2.
