RNFT2
Description
The RNFT2 (ring finger protein, transmembrane 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.
RNFT2 is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that plays a role in regulating the immune response. It negatively regulates cellular responses triggered by the interleukin-3 receptor (IL3RA) by promoting its ubiquitination and subsequent degradation by the proteasome. This process ultimately leads to an anti-inflammatory effect.
RNFT2 is also known as TMEM118.
