RNF181


Description

The RNF181 (ring finger protein 181) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

RNF181 acts as an E3 ubiquitin ligase, accepting ubiquitin from E2 enzymes and transferring it to target proteins. It specifically monoubiquitinates the PSMC2/RPT1 subunit of the 26S proteasome.

RNF181 is also known as HSPC238.
