RGCC

Description

The RGCC (regulator of cell cycle) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 13.

RGCC influences the activity of kinases that control the cell cycle. It specifically boosts the activity of CDK1. This protein potentially contributes to the regulation of the cell cycle. It might inhibit the growth of glioma cells by halting cell division at the G2/M transition. RGCC plays a role in the development of kidney fibrosis by activating fibroblasts.

RGCC is also known as C13orf15, RGC-32, RGC32, bA157L14.2.
