RFPL3S

Description

The RFPL3S (RFPL3 antisense) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 22.

RFPL3S is a gene located on human chromosome 19. It encodes a protein that belongs to a family of proteins known as the RFPL (related to the fungal protein L-type lectin) family. Members of this family are thought to play a role in protein folding and trafficking within the cell. The exact function of RFPL3S is currently unknown, but it is predicted to be located in the endoplasmic reticulum, an organelle involved in protein synthesis and modification.

The precise function of RFPL3S protein remains largely unknown. However, based on its sequence similarity to other family members and its predicted localization to the endoplasmic reticulum, it is hypothesized to play a role in protein folding, trafficking, or quality control within the cell. Further research is necessary to elucidate its specific function.

RFPL3S is also known as NCRNA00005, RFPL3-AS, RFPL3-AS1, RFPL3ANT, RFPL3AS.
