RERG

Description

The RERG (RAS like estrogen regulated growth inhibitor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.

RERG, also known as RAS-like, estrogen-regulated, growth inhibitor, is a protein encoded by the RERG gene in humans. Belonging to the RAS superfamily of GTPases, RERG inhibits cell proliferation and tumor formation.

RERG binds to GDP and GTP, exhibiting intrinsic GTPase activity. It displays a greater affinity for GDP compared to GTP. Overexpression of RERG in cell lines has been observed to decrease proliferation rates, colony formation, and tumorigenic potential.

RERG is also known as -.
