RBP7

Description

The RBP7 (retinol binding protein 7) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

Retinol binding protein 7 is a protein encoded by the RBP7 gene in humans. It belongs to the cellular retinol-binding protein (CRBP) family, which plays a crucial role in vitamin A stability and metabolism. RBP7 binds to all-trans-retinol, but its binding affinity is lower than other CRBPs. The protein is structurally similar to other CRBPs.

Intracellular transport of retinol.

RBP7 is also known as CRABP4, CRBP4, CRBPIV.
