RBM12

Description

The RBM12 (RNA binding motif protein 12) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.

The RBM12 gene encodes a protein that contains several RNA-binding motifs, potential transmembrane domains, and proline-rich regions. The gene is located on chromosome 20 at position 20q11.21 and overlaps with the gene for copine I. Alternative splicing in the 5' UTR results in two transcript variants, but both encode the same protein.

RBM12 is also known as HRIHFB2091, SCZD19, SWAN.
