RAET1E-AS1

Description

The RAET1E-AS1 (RAET1E antisense RNA 1) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 6.

RAET1E-AS1 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) located on chromosome 6. It is transcribed from the opposite strand of the RAET1E gene, hence the name 'antisense'. While RAET1E encodes a protein, RAET1E-AS1 does not. Its function is still being studied, but it is thought to play a role in regulating gene expression.

RAET1E-AS1 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) that has been shown to be involved in the regulation of gene expression. It is upregulated in several types of cancer, including breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and lung cancer, and is associated with poor prognosis. RAET1E-AS1 has been shown to act as a sponge for microRNAs (miRNAs), which are small non-coding RNAs that regulate gene expression. By binding to miRNAs, RAET1E-AS1 can prevent these miRNAs from targeting and silencing their target genes. This can lead to the upregulation of genes that promote cancer cell growth and proliferation. RAET1E-AS1 has also been shown to be involved in the regulation of cell cycle progression and apoptosis. It is a complex and multifaceted lncRNA with a wide range of potential functions.

RAET1E-AS1 is also known as RAET1G-AS1.
