RABEP2

Description

The RABEP2 (rabaptin, RAB GTPase binding effector protein 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

RABEP2 plays a role in membrane trafficking and homotypic early endosome fusion. It is involved in arteriogenesis by regulating vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) cell surface expression and endosomal trafficking. RABEP2 interacts with SDCCAG8, localizes to centrosomes and plays a critical role in ciliogenesis.

RABEP2 is also known as FRA.
