RAB4B

Description

The RAB4B (RAB4B, member RAS oncogene family) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

Rab4B (Ras-related protein Rab-4B) is a protein involved in the recycling process of endocytosis. It regulates vesicular trafficking and is localized to the early stages of endocytosis. Rab4B interacts with the early endosome and is also implicated in the insulin pathway by contributing to GLUT4 trafficking. GLUT4 is crucial for glucose balance and is found in insulin-responsive cells, where it facilitates glucose uptake.
