RAB4A
Description
The RAB4A (RAB4A, member RAS oncogene family) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.
RAB4A is a protein that is encoded by the RAB4A gene in humans. It has been shown to interact with CD2AP, KIF3B, RAB11FIP1, RABEP1, and STX4.
RAB4A is a small GTPase that cycles between an active GTP-bound and an inactive GDP-bound state. It is involved in protein transport and plays a role in vesicular traffic. RAB4A mediates VEGFR2 endosomal trafficking to enhance VEGFR2 signaling. It also acts as a regulator of platelet alpha-granule release during activation and aggregation of platelets.
