PSMG3

Description

The PSMG3 (proteasome assembly chaperone 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

PSMG3 is a chaperone protein that plays a crucial role in assembling the 20S proteasome, a critical cellular machinery responsible for protein degradation. PSMG3 may collaborate with PSMG1-PSMG2 heterodimers to ensure the accurate assembly of these proteasomes.

PSMG3 is also known as C7orf48, PAC3.
