PRR7

Description

The PRR7 (proline rich 7, synaptic) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

PRR7 acts as a synapse-to-nucleus messenger promoting NMDA receptor-mediated excitotoxicity in neurons through a JUN-dependent pathway. It prevents JUN degradation by inhibiting ubiquitination and enhances JUN phosphorylation and transcriptional activity. PRR7 may also play a role in T cell receptor signaling and potentially contribute to apoptosis in T cells.

PRR7 is also known as -.
