PROX2

Description

The PROX2 (prospero homeobox 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 14.

The PROX2 gene in humans encodes for Prospero homeobox protein 2. This protein is involved in regulating gene expression.

This protein acts as a transcription regulator. It appears to be unnecessary for proper embryonic development and survival after birth.

PROX2 is also known as PROX-2.
