PRKRIP1

Description

The PRKRIP1 (PRKR interacting protein 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

PRKRIP1 is essential for pre-mRNA splicing, functioning as a component of the spliceosome. It binds double-stranded RNA and inhibits EIF2AK2 kinase activity. These activities are supported by evidence from UniProtKB (Q9CWV6) and PubMed articles (28502770, 30705154).

PRKRIP1 is also known as C114, KRBOX3.
