PPTC7

Description

The PPTC7 (protein phosphatase targeting COQ7) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.

PPTC7 is a protein phosphatase that positively regulates the biosynthesis of ubiquinone, also known as coenzyme Q. It accomplishes this by dephosphorylating the ubiquinone biosynthesis protein COQ7, which is believed to activate COQ7.

PPTC7 is also known as TA-PP2C, TAPP2C.
