PPM1E

Description

The PPM1E (protein phosphatase, Mg2+/Mn2+ dependent 1E) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

PPM1E is a protein phosphatase that inactivates CaM kinases like CAMK4 and CAMK2. It dephosphorylates and inactivates PAK, and may play a role in preventing the breakdown of actin fiber stress and in morphological changes driven by TNK2/CDC42. It also dephosphorylates PRKAA2.

PPM1E is also known as CAMKPN, CaMKP-N, POPX1, PP2CH, caMKN.
