PPIAL4A

Description

The PPIAL4A (peptidylprolyl isomerase A like 4A) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

PPIAL4A, also known as cyclophilin, is a protein that accelerates the folding of proteins. It achieves this by catalyzing the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds within short chains of amino acids (oligopeptides).

PPIAL4A is also known as COAS-2, COAS2, PPIAL4, PPIAL4B.
