PNCK

Description

The PNCK (pregnancy up-regulated nonubiquitous CaM kinase) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome X.

PNCK is a calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase that participates in a proposed calcium-triggered signaling cascade. It has been shown to phosphorylate CREB1 and SYN1/synapsin I in vitro, and is believed to activate CAMK1.

PNCK is also known as BSTK3, CaMK1b.
