PHLDA1
Description
The PHLDA1 (pleckstrin homology like domain family A member 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.
PHLDA1 (Pleckstrin homology-like domain family A member 1) is a protein encoded by the PHLDA1 gene in humans. This gene encodes a conserved proline-histidine rich nuclear protein. The encoded protein may play an important role in the anti-apoptotic effects of insulin-like growth factor-1. PHLDA1 has been shown to interact with RPL14, EIF3D and PABPC4.
PHLDA1 appears to play a role in regulating apoptosis, potentially participating in detachment-induced programmed cell death. It might also mediate apoptosis during neuronal development and regulate the anti-apoptotic effects of IGF1. Additionally, PHLDA1 may be involved in translational regulation.
PHLDA1 is also known as DT1P1B11, PHRIP, TDAG51.
