Description

The PHF23 (PHD finger protein 23) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

PHF23 acts as a negative regulator of autophagy by promoting the ubiquitination and degradation of LRSAM1. LRSAM1 is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that triggers autophagy in response to starvation or bacterial infection.
