PHF20

Description

The PHF20 (PHD finger protein 20) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 20.

PHD finger protein 20 (PHF20) is a protein encoded by the PHF20 gene in humans. It is a methyllysine-binding protein and a component of the MOF histone acetyltransferase protein complex. PHF20 plays a role in the regulation of gene expression.

PHF20 is a methyllysine-binding protein that is part of the MOF histone acetyltransferase protein complex. It plays a role in transcriptional regulation of MOF target genes. PHF20 is involved in the acetylation of nucleosomal histone H4 on several lysine residues as part of the NSL complex. It also contributes to the stabilization and up-regulation of p53/TP53 after DNA damage.

PHF20 is also known as C20orf104, GLEA2, HCA58, NZF, TDRD20A, TZP.
