PDZRN3

Description

The PDZRN3 (PDZ domain containing ring finger 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

PDZ domain-containing RING finger protein 3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PDZRN3 gene.

PDZRN3 is an E3 ubiquitin ligase that plays a crucial role in regulating the abundance of MUSK on the surface of myotubes. It promotes the ubiquitination of MUSK, leading to its internalization through endocytosis and subsequent degradation within lysosomes. PDZRN3 may also contribute to the final stages of muscle cell differentiation.

PDZRN3 is also known as LNX3, SEMACAP3, SEMCAP3.
