PDHA2

Description

The PDHA2 (pyruvate dehydrogenase E1 subunit alpha 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 4.

The pyruvate dehydrogenase complex, which contains PDHA2, is responsible for converting pyruvate to acetyl-CoA and CO(2). This process links the glycolytic pathway to the tricarboxylic acid cycle, a crucial energy-producing pathway in the cell.

PDHA2 is also known as PDHAL, SPGF70.
