PDCD11

Description

The PDCD11 (programmed cell death 11) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

PDCD11 plays a crucial role in the production of mature 18S ribosomal RNA (rRNA), specifically by facilitating cleavages at sites A0, 1, and 2 within the 47S precursor rRNA. This process is achieved through direct interaction with U3 small nucleolar RNA (snoRNA).

PDCD11 is also known as ALG-4, ALG4, NFBP, RRP5.
