PDC
Description
The PDC (phosducin) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.
PDC is an abbreviation that could refer to multiple things.
PDC may play a role in regulating how light signals are processed in the eye (visual phototransduction) and in coordinating the metabolism of photoreceptor cells. It also prevents the cone-rod homeobox protein CRX from turning on certain genes.
PDC is also known as MEKA, PHD, PhLOP, PhLP.
