PCTP
Description
The PCTP (phosphatidylcholine transfer protein) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.
PCTP is a human gene that codes for a protein involved in the transfer of phosphatidylcholine, a type of phospholipid, between cellular membranes.
PCTP facilitates the movement of phosphatidylcholine, a type of phospholipid, between different cellular membranes. It binds to and carries a single lipid molecule at a time.
PCTP is also known as PC-TP, STARD2.
