PCBD2

Description

The PCBD2 (pterin-4 alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

PCBD2 is a gene in humans that codes for the enzyme Pterin-4-alpha-carbinolamine dehydratase 2.

PCBD2 plays a role in the biosynthesis of tetrahydrobiopterin. It appears to inhibit the creation of 7-pterins and simultaneously expedite the formation of quinonoid-BH2.

PCBD2 is also known as DCOH2, DCOHM, PHS2.
