PBK

Description

The PBK (PDZ binding kinase) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 8.

PBK may refer to:

PBK phosphorylates MAP kinase p38, suggesting a role in cell signaling. It appears to be active primarily during mitosis, indicating its involvement in cell division. PBK might also contribute to the activation of lymphoid cells, potentially impacting the immune system. Phosphorylation of PBK leads to complex formation with TP53, destabilizing TP53 and weakening the G2/M checkpoint during doxorubicin-induced DNA damage.

PBK is also known as CT84, HEL164, Nori-3, SPK, TOPK.
