PARP12
Description
The PARP12 (poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase family member 12) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.
PARP12 is an enzyme encoded by the PARP12 gene in humans. It is responsible for the synthesis of poly(ADP-ribose), a polymer that plays a role in various cellular processes, including DNA repair, transcription, and apoptosis.
PARP12 functions as a mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase, attaching a single ADP-ribose molecule to target proteins.
PARP12 is also known as ARTD12, MST109, MSTP109, ZC3H1, ZC3HDC1.
