PARP12 is an enzyme encoded by the PARP12 gene in humans. It is responsible for the synthesis of poly(ADP-ribose), a polymer that plays a role in various cellular processes, including DNA repair, transcription, and apoptosis.
PARP12 functions as a mono-ADP-ribosyltransferase, attaching a single ADP-ribose molecule to target proteins.
