Pantoprazole
Description
Pantoprazole is a medication belonging to the class of proton pump inhibitors (PPIs). It works by reducing the production of stomach acid, providing relief from symptoms such as heartburn, indigestion, and acid reflux. Pantoprazole is available in both oral and intravenous forms and is commonly prescribed for short-term use to treat these conditions. In some cases, it may be used for long-term management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a chronic condition characterized by persistent acid reflux.
