OTUD7B

Description

The OTUD7B (OTU deubiquitinase 7B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

OTUD7B is a protein encoded by the OTUD7B gene in humans. Also known as Cellular zinc finger anti-NF-kappa-B protein, Zinc finger A20 domain-containing protein 1, and Zinc finger protein Cezanne.

OTUD7B is a negative regulator of the non-canonical NF-kappa-B pathway. It deubiquitinates TRAF3, an inhibitor of the NF-kappa-B pathway, preventing its proteolysis and over-activation. This action negatively regulates B-cell responses and mucosal immunity against infections. OTUD7B also deubiquitinates ZAP70, regulating T cell receptor signaling and contributing to T cell homeostasis. It plays a role in normal T cell responses, including the production of IFNG and IL2. OTUD7B also mediates deubiquitination of EGFR. It possesses deubiquitinating activity toward 'Lys-11', 'Lys-48', and 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitin chains. It hydrolyzes both linear and branched forms of polyubiquitin. It interacts with ZAP70 in activated T cells, TRAF3, TRAF6, PARK7, EGFR, ITCH, and NEDD4.

OTUD7B is also known as CEZANNE, ZA20D1.
