OSTN (Open Student Television Network) is a national student television network headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio. Founded in 2004, OSTN provides a platform for student television stations to share their content worldwide. It started with a few participating schools and has grown to over 600 members, broadcasting on campus cable systems and university websites. OSTN offers a national collegiate news show produced by Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, and its content is distributed globally through the Associated Press network. In 2007, the network adopted a comprehensive broadcast schedule, enabling the scheduling of specific shows and series. However, in the same year, the network's chief architect, Prashant Chopra, was arrested and convicted for child sex offenses.
