OSCAR

Description

The OSCAR (osteoclast associated Ig-like receptor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

OSCAR stands for Orbiting Satellite Carrying Amateur Radio. It's a designation given to amateur radio satellites, which are artificial satellites built and used by amateur radio operators. These satellites are designed for communication between amateur radio stations, using amateur radio frequencies. They can function as repeaters, transponders, and digital relays. Many amateur radio satellites have helped advance the science of satellite communications.

OSCAR is also known as PIGR3, PIgR-3.
