OR10G7

Description

The OR10G7 (olfactory receptor family 10 subfamily G member 7) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

The OR10G7 gene encodes a protein called olfactory receptor 10G7. This protein is involved in our sense of smell. It interacts with odorant molecules in our nose, triggering a neuronal response that we perceive as a smell. Olfactory receptors belong to a large family of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), which are responsible for recognizing and transmitting odorant signals. The OR10G7 gene is part of the largest gene family in the human genome.

Odorant receptor.

OR10G7 is also known as OR11-283.
