ODAM

Description

The ODAM (odontogenic, ameloblast associated) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 4.

ODAM, or Odam, is a term that can refer to multiple things.

ODAM is a protein found in the epithelium of teeth, suggesting a role in the development and formation of teeth. It is thought to be involved in the final stages of enamel mineralization and may play a role in attaching the junctional epithelium to the tooth surface. Additionally, it interacts with other proteins, like ARHGEF, to activate RHOA and regulate downstream factors such as ROCK, which are involved in cellular signaling and function.

ODAM is also known as APIN.
