NUP35

Description

The NUP35 (nucleoporin 35) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

NUP35 is a protein encoded by the NUP35 gene in humans. It belongs to the nucleoporin family and is located at the nuclear rim, a part of the nuclear pore complex (NPC). The NPC is a channel that allows the passage of molecules between the nucleus and the cytoplasm.

NUP35 is a component of the nuclear pore complex (NPC), a structure that regulates the movement of molecules between the nucleus and cytoplasm. Like other nucleoporins (NUPs), NUP35 can act as both a structural component of the NPC and a docking site for proteins involved in nuclear transport. NUP35 may also play a role in the interaction of the MAD1 protein with the NPC.

NUP35 is also known as MP-44, MP44, NP44, NUP53.
