NTN3

Description

The NTN3 (netrin 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

Netrin-3 plays a crucial role in directing the growth of axons in the central nervous system (CNS), specifically guiding commissural axons (those that connect the two hemispheres of the brain) and peripheral motor axons (those that carry signals from the spinal cord to muscles).

NTN3 is also known as NTN2L.
