NPDC1

Description

The NPDC1 (neural proliferation, differentiation and control 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

NPDC1 is a protein found in humans and encoded by the NPDC1 gene. It has been shown to interact with E2F1.

NPDC1 suppresses the development of cancer in both nerve and other types of cells. It also decreases the rate at which nerve cells multiply. NPDC1 might play a role in controlling which genes are turned on or off.

NPDC1 is also known as CAB, CAB-, CAB-1, CAB1, NPDC-1.
