NOA1

Description

The NOA1 (nitric oxide associated 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 4.

NOA1, also known as Nitric oxide associated 1, is a protein in humans encoded by the NOA1 gene.

NOA1 plays a crucial role in regulating mitochondrial protein translation and respiration. It is involved in mitochondria-mediated cell death, likely acting as a scaffolding protein or stabilizer of respiratory chain supercomplexes. NOA1 also binds GTP.

NOA1 is also known as C4orf14, MTG3, hAtNOS1, hNOA1, mAtNOS1.
