NFE2L3

Description

The NFE2L3 (NFE2 like bZIP transcription factor 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

NFE2L3, also known as NRF3, is a transcription factor encoded by the Nfe2l3 gene on human chromosome 7p15-p14. It belongs to the Cap 'n' Collar (CNC) family of transcription factors, similar to NFE2L1 and NFE2L2. The gene is located near the HOXA gene cluster, suggesting a shared evolutionary origin with other CNC factors. The human Nfe2l3 gene contains 4 exons and encodes a protein with 694 amino acid residues.

NFE2L3 is also known as NRF3.
