NET1

Description

The NET1 (neuroepithelial cell transforming 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

The NET1 gene in humans encodes for Neuroepithelial cell-transforming gene 1 protein. This gene's location and details can be found in the UCSC Genome Browser.

NET1 acts as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for RhoA GTPase, potentially activating the SAPK/JNK pathway. It can stimulate RHOB activity in breast cancer cells in response to genotoxic stress, leading to cell death.

NET1 is also known as ARHGEF8, NET1A.
