NCKAP5L

Description

The NCKAP5L (NCK associated protein 5 like) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.

NCKAP5L regulates microtubule organization and stabilization. It promotes microtubule growth and bundling formation. NCKAP5L stabilizes microtubules by increasing intense acetylation of microtubules. Tubulin-binding and homodimer formation are both required for NCKAP5L-mediated microtubule bundle formation.

NCKAP5L is also known as Cep169, FP1193, KIAA1602.
