NAA35

Description

The NAA35 (N-alpha-acetyltransferase 35, NatC auxiliary subunit) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

NAA35 is a human protein encoded by the NAA35 gene. It acts as an auxiliary subunit within the N(alpha)-acetyltransferase 35, NatC complex.

This protein is an auxiliary component of the N-terminal acetyltransferase C (NatC) complex, which is responsible for adding an acetyl group to the N-terminal methionine residue of proteins. This process is important for regulating protein stability and degradation, as well as for controlling apoptosis and the growth of smooth muscle cells.

NAA35 is also known as EGAP, MAK10, MAK10P, bA379P1.1.
