MYCNOS

Description

The MYCNOS (MYCN opposite strand) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 2.

MYCNOS, also known as MYCN-binding protein, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the MYCNOS gene. It plays a role in regulating the stability of the MYCN protein, a key oncogene implicated in neuroblastoma, by inhibiting GSK3B-mediated phosphorylation of MYCN. This inhibition of phosphorylation stabilizes MYCN, potentially contributing to tumor growth.

MYCNOS is also known as MYCN-AS1, N-CYM, NCYM, NYCM.
