The MYCL (MYCL proto-oncogene, bHLH transcription factor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

The MYCL1 gene encodes the L-myc-1 proto-oncogene protein, a basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor implicated in lung cancer. It interacts with MAX.

MYCL is also known as L-Myc, LMYC, MYCL1, bHLHe38.
